Scheduled - On Wednesday, December 18 at 8:30 AM, we will be upgrading AppsAnywhere to the latest version. During the upgrade process, users will not be able to access the site to install software.

Scheduled - On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 beginning at 6pm, the campus firewall appliances will be upgraded to resolve some vulnerabilities and stay current with vendor recommendations. At some point during the upgrade, there will be some brief Internet and VPN disruptions, lasting several seconds, as changes are deployed. Only one firewall will be upgraded at a time so traffic should fail over to the other firewall during the upgrade.

Scheduled - On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 beginning at 10pm, with the exception of the H-wing Access Points (AP's), all remaining AP's at the Davis Campus will be migrated to the newer WLC. There will be a temporary Wi-Fi outage for the AP's being migrated, however services will be restored once the migration is complete.

Scheduled - The software version on the remaining switches in the Davis A-wing need to be upgraded, which will be done beginning at 10pm on Monday, December 16, 2024. Network services in the A-wing will be impacted for a period of time durning the upgrade but services will be restored once the upgrade is complete.

Scheduled - On Monday, December 16 at 8:00am, we will be upgrading the firmware and software used by thin clients. The upgrade process is expected to take approximately 4 minutes per device.

Scheduled - On Monday, December 16, starting at 7:30am, we will be modifying the two SSID's at the residence (ResNet2.4 and ResNet 5) to properly separate out the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This was in place prior to the AP's being migrated to the new WLC's (Wireless LAN Controllers), and we would like to fix it so it is configured properly.

The Residence staff and students have been notified and confirmed the time is suitable.

The change is not expected to take much longer than a few minutes but there could likely be a short impact the clients on the SSID's being modified.
